Orogenic gold: is a genetic association with magmatism realistic?

چکیده
Abstract Many workers accept a metamorphic model for orogenic gold ore formation, where gold-bearing aqueous-carbonic fluid is an inherent product of devolatilization across the greenschist-amphibolite boundary with majority deposits formed within seismogenic zone at depths 6–12 km. Fertile oceanic rocks that source and metal may be heated through varied tectonic scenarios affecting deforming upper crust (? 20–25 km depth). Less commonly, cover on downgoing slab release 25–50 travels up-dip along sealed plate until intersecting near-vertical structures facilitate migration deposition in crustal environment. Nevertheless, numerous world-class are alternatively argued to products magmatic-hydrothermal processes based upon equivocal geochemical mineralogical data or simply spatial association exposed hypothesized intrusion. Oxidized intrusions form porphyry epithermal ores 3–4 crust, but their ability economic resources mesozonal (? km) hypozonal > 12 limited. Although volatile saturation reached magmatic systems as deep 10–15 km, such doesn’t indicate release. Volatiles typically will channeled upward magma mush brittle apical roof zones epizonal levels < 6 before large pressure gradients rapidly focused fluid. Furthermore, sulfur solubility relationships favor relatively shallow formation systems; although from system below would generally diffuse, even if cases it was somehow better focused, unlikely contain substantial gold. Where reduced assimilation carbonaceous material, subsequent high pressures hydrofracturing have been shown lead development sheeted veins greisens 3–6 These systems, however, Sn W ores, low grade occurrences (< 1 g/t Au) being rare cases. Thus, whereas most moderate- high-T orogens host intrusions, there no genetic association.

Synchronous peak Barrovian metamorphism driven by syn-orogenic magmatism and fluid flow in southern Connecticut, USA
Recent work in Barrovian metamorphic terranes has found that rocks experience peak metamorphic temperatures across several grades at similar times. This result is inconsistent with most geodynamic models of crustal over-thickening and conductive heating, wherein rocks which reach different metamorphic grades generally reach peak temperatures at different times. Instead, the presence of addition...
متن کاملOrogenic gold deposits: A proposed classification in the context of their crustal distribution and relationship to other gold deposit types
The so-called ‘mesothermal’ gold deposits are associated with regionally metamorphosed terranes of all ages. Ores were formed during compressional to transpressional deformation processes at convergent plate margins in accretionary and collisional orogens. In both types of orogen, hydrated marine sedimentary and volcanic rocks have been added to continental margins during tens to some 100 milli...
متن کاملNoble gases fingerprint a metasedimentary fluid source in the Macraes orogenic gold deposit, New Zealand
The world-class Macraes orogenic gold deposit (∼10Moz resource) formed during the late metamorphic uplift of a metasedimentary schist belt in southern New Zealand. Mineralising fluids, metals and metalloids were derived from within the metasedimentary host. Helium and argon extracted from fluid inclusions in sulphide mineral grains (three crush extractions from one sample) have crustal signatur...
متن کاملCCL22 16C/A Genetic Variation is not Associated with Breast Carcinoma in Southern Iranian Population
Background: CCL22/MDC is a CC chemokine with a critical role in regulation of the immune balance in physiological condition. CCL22/CCR-4 ligation has been documented to participate in the migration of regulatory T (Treg) cells and Th2 lymphocytes to the site of breast tumors; circumstances that are known to be associated with poor prognosis. Objective: To investigate the association of a single...
متن کاملA realistic perish ability inventory management for location-inventory-routing problem based on Genetic Algorithm
In this paper, it was an attempt to be present a practical perishability inventory model. The proposed model adds using spoilage of products and variable prices within a time period to a recently published location-inventory-routing model in order to make it more realistic. Aforementioned model by integration of strategic, tactical and operational level decisions produces better results for sup...
